A restaurant that prides itself on return clientele your dining experience here could well be one of the things to swear by in the city. We make no tall claims when we say that our Indian food is several notches higher than available elsewhere.
The Indian cuisine at Indiagate is prepared from the finest spices and herbs imported from the regions of the Malabar Coast, Konkan, Kerala and Tamil Nadu in India; grounded, crushed and pasted with care and used in clinical proportions in a host of aromatic and delectable Indian delicacies that invariably leaves one craving for more. Our restaurants have made a huge mark in Bangkok's culinary map especially after bagging the accolade of Thailand's Tatler Best Restaurant Award which bears ample testimony to its quality and service.
The specialties include a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian preparations. A wide selection of Tandoori bread and other lip-smacking dishes including Murgh Tikka, Tandoori Chicken, Gosht Rogan Josh, Crispy Okra, Paneer Makhani and lots more. The Indian Chinese fusion dishes are a new scrumptious addition with a difference.
The food served at Indiagate comes to you from three different kitchens - North Indian, South Indian and Indian Chinese fusion.
The North Indian hearth churns out a varied fare that is either baked, grilled, skewered, roasted or cooked over a slow fire and includes the fabled Indian curries. Amongst the breads there is the Tandoori Roti, Lachha Paratha, Naan, Kulcha and of course the Garlic naan that goes great with Kebabs and Curries alike. Amongst the soft juicy mutton and chicken Kebabs served ladled with chutneys (dip) and onion rings there are the tender Seekh and Shammi Kebabs, the Reshmi Kebab and more ,but our melt-in-the- mouth Malai Kebabs, with its aroma wafting through, certainly deserves a place in the Kebab Hall of Fame. Even the vegetarian Kebabs are out of this world. The Tandoori Chicken is our specialty and so is the Murg tikka Masala but the Butter Chicken takes the special house tag. Finally it would be a sin not to make the Indian Curries, cooked in many fragrant spices, an integral part of the main course. There are a lot of options for the vegetarians as well ranging from the Paneer Makhani, Crispy Okra to Mushroom Matar and even the lentils and pulses taste heavenly here.
The South Indian kitchen serves Upmas, Idlis, Vadas to regular Dosas. The pride of place in this category should go to the Dosas prepared in a variety of fillings and served hot with unlimited accompaniments of Tomato and Coconut chutneys and Sambar. They are crispy and done just right.
The Indian-Chinese fusion wok offers an eclectic mix of Indi-Chinese delights that have been reinvented from Indian and classic Szechwan and Cantonese specialties. But the toast from the fusion class should go to Thailand's very own delectable red and green curries. Also on offer is the sizzling sea-food platter that encompasses shrimps, prawns and fish. The golden fried prawns are perfect with beer.
Don't forget to round off your meal with one of our special deserts. Try the Gulab Jamun that's ducked in syrup of flavoured Rose water or the Ras Malai for a well-fed feeling.
Go ahead, indulge in gastronomic recklessness
On saturdays and sundays from 11am to midnight, 'ALL YOU CAN EAT' offer of great 7 Indian tandoories grill delights followed by main course meal which includes curries and a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian delights, this provides an excellent introduction to this distinctive and delicious cuisine.
